The territory of Maury is in the South of France, at 30 km from the Mediterranean Sea, spread out between the hills of the Corbières and the moutains of the Pyrenees. It includes grounds of schist beaten by a "Cers" wind, at the feet of the castle of Quéribus, which was the last Cathar fortress. On this small soil 1700ha, which first young wines were brought by Carthaginians, the Domaine du Dernier Bastion is a family enterprise since 1798. It cultivates the vineyards respecting the environment and harvests the grape by hand. The Domaine makes wine a traditionally way in a former wine storehouse that the history knew how to protect by passion. |
